We know that this will be a major traveling event for many that are planning to attend. We sincerely hope that you will join us on our big day. We figured that we would point everyone in the direction of something to do while visiting the South.
Memphis is home to the blues. If you want to go check out some live bands while in town look towards Beale Street.
The Peabody is widely known as a must see site in Memphis. This hotel is a very nice place to stay downtown if you so desire. The restaurant in the hotel is considered to be on of the best places to eat. The Peabody is probably best known for their ducks.
Did you know that Memphis has a pyramid? Yup! Home to the bass pro shop. They have restaurants, bowling, indoor archery range, and more.
The Pink Palace Mansion is home to nearly a century of Memphis history from its beginnings as the unfinished home of Piggly Wiggly store founder Clarence Saunders to its renovation in 2018. Sometimes called the Museum’s largest artifact, the renovated Mansion includes a totally reconstructed original Piggly Wiggly Store replica, Country Store and a restored Clyde Parke Miniature Circus.
Here is a nice little place with lots of shops and restaurants. You will notice the locomotive in the square that you can get into and check out and read up on some history of Collierville.
Here is a nice place to spend a day with the kids. This is a nice place outside of the city where things will be a bit calmer of a time for you and the kids. There is a cafe and site to grab some food with lots of different activities.
I did find a good list of things to do while in Memphis for many other things to do while in town.
At only 3 hours away from the venue, Nashville offers plenty to do and see before or after the wedding.
New Orleans is a bit of a commute but definitely can be driven in a day. Roughly 6hr 30min drive.
